Do you have any causes or charities that you're passionate about? Or maybe just learn about a cause or event that comes up only once or at certain times of the year that touches your heart and soul. If you're like me you want to do more or give more but you can only do or give so much. Many times we regretfully just can't afford more time or money to a cause but we can help by spreading the word and hoping that others may be as passionate about these things as we are. Maybe, just maybe their hearts will be touched and will be able to help the cause.

Well, this page is dedicated to some well known and ongoing causes as well as some unknown ones that I hope you may find interesting enough to consider supporting. Do you have a cause or charity that you're passionate about and would like to promote? If so e-mail me the cause or charity name along with web link if possible to potentially have it advertised here.

Pictured at left is my son Tylor Marcotte of whom I am so extremely proud of and admire. Not only is he a wonderful son, husband and father but as you can see he's a firefighter. To be exact he's a volunteer firefighter for Spokane County Fire District 3. It takes a special breed of man or woman to do that line of work.

Each year firefighters from all over the USA and other countries go to Seattle to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As there are many individuals, groups and teams that attend this annual fund raiser, the fire fighters come together as the Scott Firefighter Stairclimbers and complete this unbelievable event in FULL GEAR. To get more information about this cause please go to event website  and/or check out this video at lower right.

The Scott Firefighter Stairclimb

At 788 feet of vertical elevation, the Columbia Center in
downtown Seattle stands as the second tallest building
west of the Mississippi. It takes 69 floors of stairs and
1,356 steps to reach the highly acclaimed observation
deck overlooking the city. The Scott Firefighter Stairclimb
supports the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society, raising money through sponsorships, individual
and department fundraising, and entry fees. The Scott
Firefighter Stairclimb is the Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society’s annual fundraiser open solely to firefighters and
completed in full structural firefighting gear and on air.
In 2016, the event featured over 1,900 firefighters from
over 330 different departments and 5 different countries and brought in a record $2.3 million dollars for blood-cancer research and patient services. While completing the climb is a physical triumph in itself, it is also symbolic of, but pales in comparison to, the strenuous journey that all cancer patients endure. As firefighters race to the top of Seattle’s tallest building, they keep in mind that every step forward is symbolic of moving towards finding a cure for all those battling a blood cancer.

To date, LLS has invested over $1 billion to develop cancer therapies and advance the production and application of many drug treatments. Now in it’s 26th year, this event has raised over $12 million for LLS. We are continually astounded by the passion this particular community brings to this campaign, and are excited to aim for our 2017 fundraising goal of $2.5 million!

Transform Asia

Transform Asia is an inter-denominational Christian organization committed to sharing the love, hope, and salvation that comes through Jesus Christ with the people of Asia.

Voice of the Martyrs

The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) is a nonprofit, interdenominational missions organization that offers practical and spiritual help to persecuted Christians around the world.

VOM was founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who was imprisoned 14 years in Communist Romania for his faith in Christ. His wife, Sabina, was imprisoned for three years. In the 1960s, Richard, Sabina, and their son, Mihai, were ransomed out of Romania and came to the United States. Through their travels, the Wurmbrands spread the message of the atrocities that Christians face in restricted nations, while establishing a network of offices dedicated to assisting the persecuted church.

Our ministry is based on Hebrews 13:3:   Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Antioch Adaptions
